FAQ
Signalbat setup
Setup is intentionally light. Signalbat needs your brand, your category context, and a few competitors or alternatives so the first Reading watches the right market.

In short
To set up Signalbat, you need the brand domain, product name, category context, core buyer questions, and a starting competitor list. Signalbat does not need a tracking script to begin because it reads public AI answers and public source evidence. The first useful setup goal is not completeness; it is a focused Reading that watches the right market.
No tracking script
Signalbat reads public answer and source surfaces. You do not need to install a website script to begin.
A focused starting set
A useful setup starts with your domain, product category, core buyer questions, and the competitors you already hear about.
The model improves
As Readings arrive, Brand context gets sharper and the question set can be tuned around what is actually moving.
What good inputs look like
Good inputs are specific enough to guide the first read: the product name buyers use, the category they compare you in, the alternatives sales hears most often, and the buyer questions that create real deal risk.
What can wait
You do not need a complete taxonomy, exhaustive competitor map, or perfect positioning doc on day one. The first Reading should expose what needs refinement: missing pages, surprise competitors, stale claims, or buyer questions that deserve more focus.
How setup improves over time
Each Reading creates feedback. A competitor can be added, a prompt family can be narrowed, Brand context can be corrected, and source priorities can shift based on what the answer layer actually shows.
How it works
- 01
Name the brand
Add the domain, product name, and short positioning context.
- 02
Add competitors
Seed the peer set with known alternatives so Signalbat can watch them from day one.
- 03
Read the first report
Use the first Reading to decide what to refine next.
